I meet with clients in Papillion online, across Nebraska. My in person office is in Omaha.
What tends to bring people here to therapy?
Papillion is largely a family town, and the calls reflect that. Parents of teenagers who have gone silent. Couples who are excellent co-managers of a household and have not had a real conversation in two years. Adults raising children while quietly managing an ageing parent.
There is a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from a life that looks well organised from the outside. Nothing has gone wrong enough to explain it, which makes people slow to ask for help.
Is a video session workable with a full house?
It takes some planning. Most clients here settle on a time when the house is empty, or they take the session from a parked car outside the office they just left. Both work.
What matters is that you can speak without lowering your voice. If a private hour genuinely does not exist in your week, we talk about that directly, because it usually says something worth looking at.
Do you work with couples and families from here?
Yes. Couples work and family work both happen online, and having each person in a space they feel unguarded in sometimes makes the first session easier rather than harder.
The goal is not to decide who is right. It is to get people saying the real thing to each other, which is usually simpler and harder than it sounds.
Where is the office?
In Omaha, at [CONFIRM-ADDRESS]. There is no Papillion office, and the short drive is easy enough that some clients here do a mix of both.
