Different rooms, the same starting point.
Therapy starts with a conversation. Whether you come alone, with a partner, or with your whole household, the first session is mostly me listening and you deciding whether this feels like a fit.

How do I know which one I need?
You do not have to know. Most people start with a rough sense that something is off and we sort out the shape of it together. If it turns out the work belongs in a different room, we move it.
My primary method is DBT. In practice that means we hold two things at once: you are doing the best you can with what you have, and there are skills that will make the next month easier. Both are true. We work as a team on goals that are specific and achievable, so you can measure progress instead of guessing at it.
What does the work aim at?
Building a life worth living. Not a perfect one, and not one that looks good from the outside. One that is yours, that you want to be awake for.
Where would you like to start?
Individual therapyOne person, one hour, and honest work on what is actually in the way.
Couples therapyTwo people learning to say the hard thing without the room catching fire.
Family therapyA household getting back to talking instead of managing each other.
Teen and young adult therapySpace for someone figuring out who they are, without being talked down to.
Online therapyThe same work from your own kitchen table, across Nebraska and Rhode Island.
Ready when you are.
Therapy starts with a conversation. Send a short message and tell me what is going on, in your own words. We meet in person in Omaha, and online across Nebraska and Rhode Island.
