Providence

Online therapy for adults in Providence. I see Rhode Island clients by video only.

A quiet, warmly lit room in the late afternoon

Who tends to get in touch from Providence?

People in dense, demanding work: hospitals and clinics, universities, city and state offices, nonprofits that run on more goodwill than staffing. The shared experience is being surrounded by people all day and still feeling unaccompanied.

There is also a steady number of people who want a Black male therapist and have not found many, and who would rather wait for the right fit than settle for a convenient one.

Is a city life its own kind of pressure?

It can be. Constant proximity, small apartments, thin walls, and a schedule that never fully quiets down. People describe being permanently switched on and unable to explain why rest does not restore anything.

We look at what is actually draining the day, rather than starting from the assumption that you need to want less.

How do we handle privacy at home?

Practically. Some clients take the session with headphones in a closed room, some from a car, some during a window when the flat is empty. We plan for the space you actually have.

If a private hour is genuinely impossible, say so early and we will work around it rather than pretend it is fine.

What happens first?

You send a message, we have a first conversation, and we decide together whether this is a fit. No pressure, no outcome promised.

If it fits, we set goals together and keep them specific and achievable, working toward a life that feels worth living to you.

Ready when you are.

Therapy starts with a conversation. Send a short message and tell me what is going on, in your own words. We meet in person in Omaha, and online across Nebraska and Rhode Island.
